We provided the cover design, layout style and typesetting for this Cultural Heritage Asset Management Plan, a collaborative framework between the Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation (TAC) and Agnew Goldfields Mining Company (AGMC). It establishes strict rules to protect Tjiwarl cultural, environmental, and human assets within AGMC’s tenements near Leinster, Western Australia. It was developed by Roina Williams at Human Terrains through three on-Country workshops involving the Parna Committee (Tjiwarl cultural authority) and technical experts.
It Covers both known and unknown assets, including heritage sites, water sources, and culturally significant flora and fauna.
While providing a modern management framework, it acknowledges that traditional Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) law may take precedence.
It protects 17 heritage sites, 13 priority species, and the critical Scotty Creek waterway as well as Lake Miranda a high-significance wetland containing 350 known cultural sites and dozens of priority ecological communities.
